OBJECTIVE OF MESC 2024

General Objectives

  • To provide opportunities for regional researchers to learn the basic concepts and techniques of embryonic stem cell culture and apply them to other stem cell cultures.
  • To establish a network for regional researchers to collaborate.
  • To offer a platform for researchers to share knowledge about embryonic stem cell culture techniques, particularly, and stem cells in general.
  • To promote the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia, as a competitive research institution with proactive academic experts dedicated to enhancing university and national research performance.
  • To enhance collaboration between the faculty and relevant industries.

Specific Objectives

  • Exposing participants to basic knowledge sessions in the field of stem cell culture, particularly embryonic stem cells from mice.
  • Providing participants with intensive hands-on experience in stem cell culture techniques.
  • Imparting in-depth knowledge of aseptic techniques, cleanroom procedures, and equipment relevant to cell culture, especially to new researchers in the field of stem cells.
